Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? Sharknado!

by Anne Bennett on July 29, 2015

Last weekend I hosted a pot-luck Girl dinner party by the pool. Connie, a certified non-cook, volunteered to bring fruit. Fresh fruit doesn’t require cooking, so it was a safe bet that she could handle it.

OMG, Connie went way beyond the minimum required of a dinner guest. She took a picture of a watermelon shark bowl (that she saw on the Rachael Ray show) to Phil, the produce manager at the Hen House Supermarket and asked him to duplicate it. Quite a project, but Phil and his produce team enthusiastically rose to the challenge. Take a look at what they came up with:

Needless to say, the shark stole the show at our al fresco dinner. It was all we talked about, not to mention the fact that by the end of the evening, the poor guy was pretty much eviscerated.

What an inspiration to those of us who are cooking impaired! Go ahead, think outside the salad bowl.

That is pretty cool! I love the way they do that sort of food art. Very clever! (and tasty, I’m sure)
