Lulu, Isabel and I have decided to dress as poodles for Halloween. Sometimes it’s just easier to go with what nature gave you! By the way, I wore my skirt to work and to the supermarket today, and it was amazing how many women (of a certain age) came up to me and said that I reminded them of their own poodle skirts from the 1950’s! Each woman described her skirt with the dearest sense of nostalgia. One skirt was grey with a pink poodle, another was pink with a red crinoline to wear underneath!
I think we should lobby for the return of the poodle skirt. The only problem is driving. When I got into my car, the skirt and crinoline flounced all the way up to my chin. It felt like the air bag had deployed. I had to squash it down to get my seat belt around all that massive bulk. Of course, ladies didn’t wear seat belts back in the 1950’s so that wasn’t a problem. If you were lucky enough to make it to the high school dance in one piece, you were quite the cat’s meow. (Ouch, that was an unfortunate thing for a poodle lover to say!)

So cute! You look like you walked off the set of a ’50’s sitcom!
Heard you went to Walgreen’s too. Terri thought you looked cute. Sorry I missed it but I needed the sleep!
Tonight, we’re having carrot ginger soup from Bobo’s book. Yummy veggies!!!!
