Hungry and Poodle

by Anne Bennett on May 14, 2009

Lulu the poodle graciously agreed to pose with Weight Watcher’s mascot, Hungry. (Afterwards she deftly tiptoed away unnoticed with Hungry firmly clenched in her teeth. I rescued him just before his eyes were torn out.)

This is why I say that everyone should have a dog. What other creature would willingly (sort of) do this? Certainly not a cat. And why, you ask, would one want a pet who poses with paraphernalia on its head? I should think the answer would be obvious: for the sheer stupid fun of it, for the laugh-out-loud absurdity of actually making your beloved pet do such a thing.

If you don’t think it’s funny, you’re probably a cat person and I can’t help you.

Yep, you’re right…and wrong, too, m’dear. As you know, my cat wouldn’t be caught dead with that on her head…but I still think Lulu’s cute and funny!
