Late-Summer Stir-Frying

by Anne Bennett on September 9, 2010

This week’s New York Times Health column is about healthful stir-frying, and guess which cookbook is featured? None other than Grace Young’s, “Stir Frying to the Sky’s Edge”, which was featured here on hungry poodle in May!

Martha Rose Schulman, the Times’ Health columnist, uses some of the recipes in Grace’s new book as inspiration for end-of-summer stir-fries.  I’m going to be making several of them this weekend, right after the puppy-dust settles, and if they taste as good as they look, I’ll post them.

I emailed Grace several times recently after her book was published, and she was kind enough to offer her comments to hungry poodle about how delicious, healthy and fun stir-frying can be.

I encourage you to check out the Times article and read Grace’s take on this traditional Asian cooking method that has become so popular the world over. I warn you, though, her enthusiasm is infectious; you’ll want to dust off your wok and turn up the heat.
