Sitting Shortens Your Life

by Anne Bennett on January 26, 2010

It’s cold here, very cold (less than 30 degrees F.), and for the last week I’ve been sitting upstairs huddled under a comforter with my laptop, my books and my poodles, trying to keep warm. ┬áThen I came upon this article in the Health section of the New York Times.

Basically, it says that people who sit around a lot have shorter lives. Here I am curled up with the poodles and I’m reading that if I maintain this position I’ll wind up with the actual lifespan of a dog! (Sorry Lulu and Isabel.)

You too can have the lifespan of a poodle. Just do what they're doing right now!

You too can have the lifespan of a poodle. Just do what they're doing right now! (As you can probably tell, they've got the technique perfected!)
