The Dog Days of Easter

Whitman 2

The hungry poodles took advantage of yesterday’s springlike weather and romped nonstop at puppy Whitman’s house. They chased each other in the back yard and played keep-away with Whit’s favorite dog toys.

Being an only dog, Whitman doesn’t like to share his toys with other canines, even if they’re his best buds. ┬áHe hates it when Julia, his half-sister, nibbles on the ears of his neon-pink stuffed pig, or Lulu chews on his rawhide bone. To him, keep-away is not a game, it’s a custody battle.

After the phoo-phooey girl poodles went home, he collapsed next to his mom with his fluffy Easter bunny safely tucked beneath him, worn out from the hard work of protecting his dog stuff.

What a sweetie! I love how dogs hug their little snuggle toys!

OMG, Molly, I didn’t mention the fourth poodle in the pack, Mimi, who lives next door! It’s a herd of poodles!
