Well, Corbett brings up a good point (and he's adament about it). The truth is, if you're going for pure weight loss, it makes perfect sense. The only problem, however, is that it doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Sure losing weight automatically means being more healthy, but still not in "good" shape. Eating healthier foods and exercising regularly is a better idea that will lead to increased stamina, more energy, and overall improved bodily function.

"That simple and that difficult" is the perfect way of putting it. After all, something simple need not necessarily be easy. My only point here (admittedly retrospective) is that there are no magic bullets, no "secret" solutions. Weight loss boils down to a simple metabolic fact: put in more than you expend and your body will store the excess as fat for the impending ice age or your next trek across the Sahara. Put in less than you expend and you'll lose weight. It's that simple and that diabolically difficult.

Yeah, I have to admit that the "Corbett Plan" works best...when I follow it. Now I just have to figure out how to get the doggone food to quit calling my name!
