This isn't a recipe so much as it is a recommendation for serving up the best BBQ chicken (and/or fish, vegetables, beef) with the least amount of effort.
The secret is Bachan's Japanese Barbecue Sauce. The founder of the company named the business after his "bachan," (Japanese for grandma), who created the recipe long ago in her kitchen and passed it down to her family.
The company features several different sauces, including a Hot & Spicy version, but I suggest trying the original first. I like to grill drumsticks and baste them with Bachan sauce as they cook. They make great leftovers for lunch or snacks.
Bachan sauce contains 35 calories per Tablespoon, or 2 WW Points. If you're watching your sodium, this is probably not your sauce. I use it sparingly knowing that I couldn't ever make as good a sauce myself. Thank you, Bachan Yokoyama, for sharing your wonderful recipe with grateful grillers.
